It is said that the sake made in Fushimi has a feminine quality, and so the sake brewery Kyohime (Kyoto Princess) was so named by combining the image of the eternal capital Kyoto with the feminine side of sake. The company's motto is "Quality First" and the sake is smooth and well rounded in character, and made using time-honored artisanal techniques. Their flagship brand is called Takumi and their Daiginjo Takumi, with its smooth, fragrant ginjo flavor, is made using 100% Yamada Nishiki rice.
